OmniOutliner 6.3

OmniOutliner 6.3 improves compatibility with macOS Golden Gate 27, iPadOS 27, iOS 27, and visionOS 27 and fine-tunes Liquid Glass design elements throughout the application.

All Platforms

• OS Compatibility — OmniOutliner has been updated for macOS 27 Golden Gate, iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and visionOS 27.
• Omni Automation — Added API that looks up available API by searching the Omni Automation API documentation.
• Shortcuts — Improved the reliability of the “Omni Automation Plug-In” action. Existing shortcuts that are set to run a specific plug-in will need to re-select that plug-in in the Shortcuts editor.

iPad & iPhone

• General — Updated the document browser background art.
• Stability — Fixed a crash that could occur when opening documents.
• Undo — Cmd-z works the same as the Undo button.

• Internationalization — Fixed a bug with language input methods that use an Input Method Kit such as Chinese and Japanese where the text would not display during editing.

• Localizations — Added missing localized strings in the Inspectors and Sidebar.

• Sidebar — Disabled the swipe gesture to show the left sidebar when using the Essentials feature set.

• Localizations — OmniOutliner 6 has been updated for German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, and Simplified Chinese.
• Styles (PRO) — Styles that match the value it already inherits can now be explicitly set on that element. For example, Named Styles can now specify 12pt text and a row can explicitly be set to blue when the Whole Document style already specifies that same color.

iPad & iPhone

• Omni Automation (PRO) — The Omni Automation menu is now always available from the overflow toolbar button. It is still available to be added to the iPad toolbar for even quicker access.
• iPad Menus — ‘Connected Folders’, ‘About OmniOutliner’, and ‘License’ has been added to the OmniOutliner iPad menu bar.
• Omni Links — Selecting ‘Copy Omni Link’ from the filename menu does not hang when a Connected Folder needs to be added for the current document.
• Omni Links — Fixed a crash that could occur when the app is launched through an Omni Link.
• Omni Links — When an Omni Link that specifies a specific row is used from a different window or app, the target row(s) are selected.
