OmniOutliner 2.7 for iOS is a major update that adds support for iPad Pro and displays hardware keyboard shortcuts.

  • Keyboard Shortcuts — When using a wireless keyboard, hold down the Command key to see a list of the relevant keyboard shortcuts at your disposal.
  • Keyboard Shortcuts — Added shortcuts (Option-Command-’ & Control-Command-’) to toggle visibility of notes for selected rows or all rows.
  • Keyboard Shortcuts — An additional shortcut of Control-Command-Return has been added for Split Row until the normal shortcut works properly.
  • Stability — Fixed a crash that could occur when using Share menu options for selected text.
  • Keyboard Shortcuts — Restrict the use of Command-N for making a new document only to situations that make sense.
  • 3D Touch — The same file should no longer be able to appear more than once in the recently opened list.

OmniOutliner 2.6.1 for iOS is a minor update focused on bug fixes and stability improvements.

  • Stability — Fixed a crash using 3D Touch to create a new document when running under a language other than English.
  • Stability — Fixed a crash using 3D Touch or Spotlight to open a file that was located in a folder.
  • Stability — Fixed a crash emptying the trash with a folder in it.
  • Stability — Fixed a crash opening a file from Spotlight when the OmniPresence account setup was open.
  • Exports — HTML exports will now scale down images to fit the column width when necessary.
  • Exports — Fixed an issue with converting colors saved in the HSV color space for docx.

OmniOutliner 2.6 for iOS adds 3D Touch launch shortcuts to the OmniOutliner app icon. In case you missed it, the previous update added Multitasking and Spotlight support. (This update requires iOS 9.)

  • 3D Touch Shortcuts — Added 3D Touch launch shortcuts to the OmniOutliner app icon. On iPhone 6S and 6S Plus you can launch directly into a new document or one of your recently edited documents.

OmniOutliner 2.5 for iOS is a major update that offers Multitasking and Spotlight support. This release requires iOS 9.

  • Multitasking — Multitasking with other iOS applications has been implemented.
  • Spotlight — Spotlight and Content Indexing has been added.
  • Outline View — Text will not shift position when text editing starts on iOS 9.
  • Interface — The Return key on the on-screen keyboard will now create new rows on iOS 9.
  • Interface — The notes and new row button flyout menus have their translucent blur background on iOS 9.
  • Styles — The bold, italics, and underline buttons offered by the iOS 9 keyboard shortcut bar will function properly at the start of a blank cell.
  • Exporting — HTML exports now support row links through the use of HTML anchors.
  • Exporting — Docx exports now support row links through the use of bookmarks.
  • Exporting — HTML exports will strip illegal characters from the name of named styles when creating CSS styles from them.
  • Exporting — HTML exports will always set movie attachments to be links.
  • Misc — The last edited hint will not appear for brand-new documents.
