OmniFocus 3.1 for Mac: Light Sidebar, Localizations, and More

OmniFocus 3.1 for Mac adds localizations and new features, and it fixes a number of bugs.

If you’re the kind of person who likes to wait a little while after release before checking out a major new version, now’s the time to go take a look.

Highlights

It’s been localized in English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish.

The app’s appearance now automatically matches Mojave’s Dark Mode setting — and there’s a new preference so you can make it always light or always dark, if you don’t want it to follow the system setting.

There’s a new light sidebar. To turn off the dark sidebar and go light, see the Style preferences pane and uncheck “Use dark sidebar.”

The Forecast perspective how hides calendar events in the past (and it hides declined events too). The Clean Up command removes events that should be removed due to the passage of time.

Bug fixes include crash fixes, refinements to the Dark Mode theme, improvements to VoiceOver support, fixes for layout and perspective issues, and more.

And, again, if you haven’t downloaded OmniFocus 3 for Mac yet, today’s a good day to get going!

PS We also recently released OmniFocus 3.1.3 for iOS, which includes support for complications on the Infograph and Infograph Modular faces. We’re big fans of the new Apple Watch!
