The latest episode of The Omni Show is a special featuring some of the tiki fans at Omni.
In case you don’t know what tiki is: think of bamboo bars with fancy, sunny drinks and stylized faux-Polynesian décor.
It’s a delightfully nerdy enthusiasm — there’s a decades-long culture of rum drinks and vibe, with ongoing invention, with history lost and found. A whole world to learn.
And it includes a big splash of DIY. Mark Boszko — our intrepid producer and one of the guests on this episode — built a tiki bar in his basement.
And, yes, darn right it has a volcano. :)
