OmniDazzle 1.0.2
Released November 14th, 2007

Released October 24th, 2007
Leopard Compatibility

Interface
- Hot keys that conflict with a system shortcut in the Keyboard & Mouse preferences show up in red in OmniDazzle's interface. Sadly, the Spaces hot keys aren't reported by the system API. We've logged a bug with Apple to fix this.
OmniDazzle 1.0.1
Released November 1st, 2006
- No changes since 1.0.1 beta 2
OmniDazzle 1.0.1 Beta 2
Released October 25th, 2006
Stability
- On the Mac Pro, if the video card is a NVIDIA 7300 and there is more than 2GB of memory, Pixie Dust is disabled. This avoids a bug in Mac OS X where the entire machine will crash. We will enable this again when Apple fixes this problem.
- Fixed a crash in OmniDazzle when using Focal Point on Photoshop
Localizations
- Made several interface strings localizable
- Added a French localization
OmniDazzle 1.0.1 Beta 1
Released August 23rd, 2006
This is a small maintenance release to address some stability and usability issues found in OmniDazzle 1.0. A new feature release is still in planning.- Added workaround for bug in the Accessibility support in Mac OS X that would cause crashes when Focal Point queried menus or popups in other applications in some cases.
- Help pages now have individual titles for improved searching.
- Pressing the escape key with the Zoom plug-in with the selection indicator still active now also marks the screen 'clear' so you no longer have to manually do this to use the plug-in again.
- Added correction to the software update query to avoid reporting incorrect data. >li
OmniDazzle 1.0
Released June 16th, 2006
General
- Updated online help.
- Fixed default window position
OmniDazzle 1.0 Candidate 1
Released June 13th, 2006
General
- Clicking on the selected tab in the configuration window should no longer result in unexpected switching right after launching.
- Mouse shake configuration now simplifies itself for actions where deactivation makes no sense. For example, the Clear action on Scribble doesn't need a deactivation time. Also cleaned up the layout a bit.
- Added online Help.
- Added more plug-in descriptions and edited a few others.
- Updated preview recordings for many plug-ins.
- Clicking on the button to select a mouse button to bind to an action no longer activates that action.
- Mouse shake no longer activates immediately sometimes when selecting it for a action.
- Mouse shake now deactivates correctly when set to 'stop shaking to deactivate'.
- Mouse shake deactivation time is measured from the activation time now, rather than from when the mouse stops moving. The deactivation time defaults to 3 seconds.
- Fixed logic in animation of the configuration window so that it doesn't start animating again after a display reconfiguration unless the application is the active app.
Plug-ins
- Waves should work more reliably on a variety of multi-display configurations.
- Focal Point now works more reliably on multi-screen computers.
- Focal Point now highlights menus more reliably when scrubbing the menu bar with it active.
- Updated preview for Focal Point that allows for the relatively new border margin.
- Focal Point no longer clips the region displayed for context menus.
- Updated sounds for the human, duck, peg leg and high heels footprint types.
- Zoom now uses a flat scale factor, yielding more predictable results.
- Enabled shake activation for Cutout, Zoom and Waves.
OmniDazzle 1.0 Beta 4
Released June 8th, 2006
General
- The previews in the configuration window will now stop animating when the app isn't in the foreground. This lowers the CPU usage if you like to leave the panel up as your plug-in switcher UI.
- Status menu is now correct after screen resolution changes.
- Mouse motion due to drag events on other than left/right mouse buttons will now be noticed.
- Adding a license now cancels the demo timeout warning.
Stability
- We believe we've fixed a crasher that would happen when changing mouse shake settings. We were able to reproduce it only sporadically, so let us know if you are still able to reproduce it.
- We also tried to fix another crash with hot keys, but like the previous one, we were never able to reproduce it locally. Based on the details in the crash log we've made our best guess at a fix. If you see any crashes, please let us know how to reproduce them.
Plug-ins
- Some updated sounds in footprints. Still more to come.
- Exterior color for Focal Point is darker by default.
- Focal Point notices popup button menus, status items and dock items now.
- Focal Point should now correct its focus more reliably when the current focus element is closed.
- Zoom won't show the help window until the zoom is visible, so you won't see it in the zoomed image.
- Large Comic splats will fade over the same time as small ones.
- Plug-ins should no longer freeze if OmniDazzle has an alert panel visible.
- Cutout draw the background correctly now when the first shape you make is an ellipse.
- Clicking the add button in Comic's configuration pane now reliably starts editing on the newly inserted string.
- Should no longer get two bullseye images in some edge cases.

Released June 6th, 2006
General

- Sounds now get positioned relative to all displays, as originally intended.
- Creating a hojillion footprints should not cut out older sounds.
- Mouse shake should no longer get stuck on with delay set to "now" in Bullseye (this may still be a problem in other plug-ins, but will be fixed soon).
- Fixed some issues with the disk image packaging.

- Fixed crash in toggling between field and window focus in Focal Point.
- Fixed crash in configuring mouse button event source.
Plug-ins

- Focal Point no longer turns off immediately with 'focus on mouse location' with two displays.
- Focal Point region is now correct when using 'Highlight Under Pointer' on non-main displays.
- Focal Point works around an accessibility bug in WebKit/Safari that prevented it from noticing some focus changes in Safari.
- Fixed slowness/hang when adding/editing strings in Comic.
- Focal Point is vastly faster when focusing on large windows.
- Zoom sizing is more predictable.
OmniDazzle 1.0 Beta 2
Released June 2nd, 2006
- Fixed a crash some users with ATI hardware configurations were seeing at launch.

Requires Mac OS X 10.4.6 or later.
- Sound positioning doesn't currently scale over multiple displays.

- A light box can be seen around Flashlight on some hardware configurations.
