OmniOutliner

OmniOutliner 3 is a paid upgrade from OmniOutliner 2.x. License codes for earlier versions of the software will not work with OmniOutliner 3 or OmniOutliner Professional 3. This is a free update for all owners of version 3.

The app will run as a fully functional trial for 14 days without a license.

Released August 22 2011 — Requires Mac OS X 10.4.8 or later

Mac App Store users: With this version OmniOutliner Professional, the clipping service will not be installed. The service will continue to work on machines that already have the service installed due to a prior version. This is a temporary situation to meet Mac App Store sandboxing requirements so the Auto Save fix for Lion can be rolled out.

Bugs

  • Inspectors will now restore to the correct location when the app is relaunched.
  • Fixed an issue with OS X Lion Versions where an error could occur after restoring a previous copy.
  • Attachments added to documents in the current session can now be opened without having to reopen the OmniOutliner document when using OS X Lion.
  • The location of clippings, templates, export plug-ins, and the default location for temporary audio recording files has moved into ~/Library/Application Support/The Omni Group/OmniOutliner. Your existing files will be copied to the new location the first time this version is launched.
