erratic behavior after waking computer

Thanks for the tips Derek. I'll give them a whirl.
The window widgets (close, minimize, zoom) also do not work.
Everything else seems to be ok.
And yes, it is connected to an external monitor at work but not at
home. Oddly enough, OW is the only app that seems to exhibit the odd
behavior. I'll give hibernation a look too.
Typical day...at work it's connect to the monitor. Disconnect and
shut the lid. I use it at home without a monitor, close the lid at
night. Then in the morning take it to work and wake it up after it
is connected to the monitor. So there is no external monitor
connected when it is put to sleep.
