Strangely after some bustling with the font settings, it turns out  
the Bitstream font was the culprit after all. OW seems not to like  
it. Bummer! It works with Monaco. Why changing the setting(s) back to  
Monaco earlier didn't work, I can't even guess. Perhaps a font cache  
corruption had occurred, too.
