Can't reach google.cn

google.cn did not work for me when I just unchecked the OW preference  
to use my preferred language (flushing cache and restarting had no  
effect) but only after I _also_ opened the Languages System  
Preferences pane, which I'd probably never done before. I'd gather  
that Herbert, among others, have set this preference before, but some  
of us haven't and maybe that's the difference.
