.Mac Sync in beta?

How does .mac syncing work. Are simply storing the file on the idisk  
or are use using webdav? I had problems with my idisk, and .mac  
bookmark sync did not work really good either.

But webdav works well. Except from the fact that the bookmark gui  
lags a lot! About 3-10 sec UI hang every time I add a bookmark or a  
new folder. Even if I use webdav to localhost!

However not only bookmarks hangs regularly, but omniweb seem to hang  
regulary for some seconds before continuing, when I go to pages or  
changes tab. Could it help if I reset my preferences? I am using beta  
4. If so, should I reset only the prefs file or delete the app  
support folder containing workspaces etc.
