297 days remaining ...

I haven't suffered the interminable download problem with OW5, as I use
Speed Download, but I always have the "Network Activity" window open to
check that something is going on. The web locally can be very slow
(even with Speed Download 512K ADSL usually only manages download
speeds of 5Kb per second if that, and during the day will only manage
about 5 seconds before dropping the line!). I have noticed with OW5
that the data on a page downloaded, the data remaining and the time
remaining bear little relation to reality. Under 5.0, I was getting
things like "385Mb of 2Mb" downloaded with the first figure not being
reset, but incremented with each element. Under 5.1b3, it is the time
remaining which increments as each element is added but doesn't get
reduced as the downloads progress, so typically it tells me that I have
700+ hours to wait for the page to finish loading, which often happens
moments later.
I haven't seen any previous comments on this, but then I may have
missed them :)
