If they wish, the original posters can avoid getting two copies of 
messages sent using "Reply All" by turning on the "Avoid duplicate 
copies of messages" option at

My preference is actually for people to use Reply All when replying to 
my messages, because I prefer to get copies of replies to my messages 
in my main "in" box (where I'll see them more quickly) as well as in my 
mailing list box.  But to each their own; that's why the setting 
exists!
