	If you look in the network pane you will probably see a long list of 
"orphans". It seems that there are still bugs somewhere in the 
networking code. I did see a big improvement from Alpha10 to Alpha11, 
and then another improvement in the move to Beta1. I expect that this 
is something that the guys over at Omni are aware of, and working on.
	My guess is that things from the persistent cache are getting caught 
and slowly eating all the available networking slots. But I have no 
access to the source code, nor would I probably be able to understand 
much if I did.
