4.5, still crashy

Is anybody else horribly depressed with OmniWeb's
instability? I love the browser to death, but good
God, I can't even use it any more.
When I use Safari, I can't believe that I am using an
Apple product. The interface is ugly, and the browser
has nothing that separates it from the pack like the
usual Apple product does. It's clunky; when I am
opening multiple links via CMD-click, Safari becomes
unresponsive for a short while. The only reason that I
use Safari is because it never crashes. I can leave
Safari open for a week, and it'll still run perfectly.
When I use OmniWeb, I can't believe that I am using a
third party product. It's got a beautiful interface
and the most useful features of any browser in the
world; it completely spanks Apple's effort. But as I
am taking in its beauty, the Crash Catcher icon begins
to bounce in the Dock. The browser, while perfect in
many regards, is useless because it incessantly
crashes.
OmniWeb has been like this for me for a long time and
on different machines. I had this problem with my G3,
and now it persists with my G4. It's unbelievably
frustrating. When I am using OmniWeb, it's absolute
nirvana, but it lasts for maybe an hour or two.
I always send in my crash reports because I figure
that it's the only way that I can help. I'm always
happy to see new builds with crash fixes, but it seems
like every crash fix just brings forth a new crasher.
I can't even understand how this browser progresses
without stability. Because even with all of the
fantastic features that OmniWeb provides that Safari
doesn't, I can't use OmniWeb because it's essentially
unusable. What is the point of the source editor if it
crashes before I can save my file?
So I'm back to Safari, which has only one (but by far
the most important) feature over OmniWeb: stability. I
can write this e-mail in Yahoo! Mail without worrying
about Safari crashing before I send it.
I'm curious as to what other's feel about this
situation. I really hope that Omni steps up and makes
some serious fixes. Hell, I'll pay another $20 just to
have the browser stable. It's by far the best product
out there, but until it is even half as stable as
Safari, it's worthless. And I'm not exaggerating; it's
not even close to half as stable as Safari.
