4.2b1 is no longer selecting the location URL on New Window

I would be quite upset if this behavior was changed as well because I 
do the same thing as you describe very frequently.

Is what you're seeing 100% reproducible?  What, if any, page do you 
have load into new windows?  Is your location field in the main toolbar 
or do you have the location bar showing separately?
