Obviously you're correct, so I won't argue that.  However, iTools is a
value-added free service for Mac owners.  It's a far cry from alternative
DNS roots, since the general expectation with DNS is that a domain name is
a dmoain name, and anyone in the world should be able to see them all.
That's why systems like new.net are controversial - they're not available
to everyone, so your nifty new domain name isn't nearly as valuable as it
should be.
