Favorites bar behavior (Discussion)

I will mention the favorites bar again.

I would like to bring up a discussion about this behavior as it seems
I'm the only one to bring this up, so I hope other users will share
their opinion on this matter.

I have brought this up earlier, and got a good description on how this
are implemented to work, but it is still not that logic to me.

I know I have to drag the mouse up or down, to get a folder in the
favorites to show instantly, and if I drag left or right, I am allowed
to move the favorite. This is not logic GUI behavior to me.

Logic to me is:
If I click a menu, it will appear instantly (Or at least as fast as
possible).
If I want to move it, I will do as I would if I should move one of the
icon-menues in the to right of the menu bar: I will hold down the
command key, and move the menu. (Or as I know its a bookmark, so i can
just edit the bookmark list.)

The problem is somewhat enhanced be the fact, that the menu in the
favorites bar shows up as a contextual menu, so that I have to drag
right a bit, to actually get the mouse on to of the menu items, so often
I find myself in the middle of moving the favorite instead of opening it.

I would prefer to have these favorite folders to look like pop-up menu
instead of a folder icon with text, maybe that will demand a few more
pixels allocated to the favorites bar.

Yours Sincerely

Søren Theilgaard
