I've encountered this problem too. It seems to have been in OmniWeb SPs
for some time. My windows are set to ~ 800*600 size (I'm running my
display at 1024*768).
When running OmniWeb and having opened additional windows, the next time
a window is opened/spawned in the middle of the screen as part of
cascading it is occasionally shorter - still 800 wide, but maybe only
500 high. Most of the cases I can recall it happening, one or more of
the previously opened windows had been resized - whether manually or
automatically by the page - and then closed. I can't recall any other
pattern.
Also, by 'occasionally', I mean it might happen to you once, twice,
maybe thrice while using OW for, say, an hour... or it might not occur
at all!
(Cascading behaviour on my setup: The first window starts in the middle
of the screen, and subsequent windows cascade towards the bottom-right.
After 4 additional windows have been opened, they've reached the bottom,
so the next window opens at the same Y location as the first, but
further right. At that point, it has also reached the right-hand side,
so the next window opens in the middle.)
A shorter than usual window also appeared when I opened sp20 the first
time. I have not seen this behaviour previously or since (it had always
been after using OW for a bit), and subsequently opened windows were the
right size.
I haven't obliterated OW's .plist yet to see if that will help, although
I'm also not sure if that would be worth a go...?
Also, does this trigger any memories for you others that have seen this?
Cheers, Nathan.
