   You saved me !!! I finally understood what's going on. I've tried 
ObjectFramSpell but I never managed to make it work from the service 
menu. It seems that it replaced my OS X dictionary with the French 
version. OW then uses the French dictionary.
    I removed OFS from the service menu and it is now back in English :-)
    Thanks a lot.
    I'll make tests to see if there is a simple way to switch from one 
anguage to another.
