After some troubleshooting, OW is working again on my system.

All I can say is WHAT A RELIEF!  As Lasse Larsson pointed out, OW 
renders so much better than IE that it is something like comparing a 
color photo to a black and white photo -- the details are the same but 
the presentation is a leap forward.
