"Pipeline stopped by user"

Hey everyone,

A few weeks ago I posted to the list regarding OW's apparent "stall
problem." At that time OW was on version 4.0.1, and I believe that one
of the subsequent releases resolved most of that issue. It rarely
happens now, at least not to the point of the browser not loading any
pages. However, I noticed this today:

<Attachment missing>

The pic displays my Network Activity window from OW. As you can see,
the browser has been trying to do something with this page for over 4
hours! It was a page that was loading slowly, so I decided I didn't
want to view it afterall; I clicked Stop. But, OW doesn't seem to want
to let it go. The other document listed in the window is in a similar
situation; it's been trying to load or something for a little over 3
hours. Both of them list the status as "pipeline stopped by user." I
frankly have no idea what this means, but I assume at the very least it
means OW is using some of it's resources for these tasks...an obvious
waste since I stopped (or tried to do so) them from loading. As I said
earlier, the browser still loads other pages and seemingly goes about
its business; these incidents haven't stalled the browser. At any rate
though, I'm still curious to know why this is happening, what is
actually happening, and if the OW team has anything to say on the
matter. I really like OW, and I'm looking forward to future releases
that continue to improve it. I believe it really does have the
potential to be THE browser for OS X.

Regards,

Michael
