Degradation of the list

[Omni Worshipper]

This list has become total garbage. Apparently at some point Omni decided 
that this list was no longer for people to discuss features, problems, and 
workarounds for OmniWeb, but that they would instead turn it into unpaid 
tech support.

When you go to the Download page for Omniweb, at the bottom of the 
instructions, it tells people that if they are having problems they should 
send email to the OmniWeb Users Mailing List. That's absurd. If Omni is 
expecting people to purchase OmniWeb, they should be providing tech support 
for their own products themselves, not dumping it off on unsuspecting list 
members.

Omni should put up a FAQ on their page explaining what Terminal.app is and 
where to find it, as well as directions on how to download and extract their 
browser, since these seem to be the most common questions, and *remove* the 
direct link to the mailing list. At a minimum, Omni should have announced to 
the list that they were changing the purpose to be tech support for users 
that don't feel like reading instructions and would rather instead just 
click on the mailto: link.

This is really irresponsible on Omni's part. Tech support should be their 
problem.
