DP3 won't run!

There is no problem for standard tar file distributions (such as the  
OpenUp distribution), but OmniWeb relies on the extended GNU tar  
format because some of its pathnames are too long for the standard  
tar format.  Unfortunately, StuffIt Expander apparently doesn't  
understand the gnutar format, but it goes ahead and tries to unpack  
anyway, leading to a corrupt distribution of OmniWeb which won't  
launch.

We're exploring other packaging alternatives to avoid this problem  
in the future.
