omni and hotmail

Has anyone successfully used OmniWeb with hotmail?  Yes, yes, I realize it's  
the evil empire, but it is my experience these days that about half the mail  
I get from students is from hotmail accounts, so if Omniweb can't handle  
hotmail I don't think it's going to be much of a player in the mass market.

I was able to set up a hotmail account using Omniweb, but I cannot get into  
the account at all.  I get to certain point and (after bypassing a warning  
from hotmail about using an incompatible browser) Omniweb seems to get into a  
loop with the following message on the Console:

<OWHTTPSession: 0x3b21ac0>: Caught exception Redirect loop but  
interruptedDataStream is nil

This message is generated exactly once per second until the Stop button is hit.
