Installing on OS X DR3

I hope I don't need to subscribe before using the list...please let me know
if I do.

I downloaded OmniWeb and attempted to install on OS X DR3. I decompressed to
an installable package, but when I run InstallerX.app and open the package I
don't get much farther. It sits for a long time (minutes) at the Install
Software panel, saying that it is Preparing... With no sign of life, I
eventually cancel the install.

The OmniWeb.pkg file is on an HFS+ partition. This happens whether I attempt
to install to my OS X root (UFS, I think) or to the same HFS+ volume.

Any thoughts? Should this even work with DR3? I'm very much an OpenStep and
Unix novice, so don't assume I know much!
