In OmniWeb 2, we didn't support news links at all unless you had the  
bundle installed which forwarded news requests to Alexandra.

In OmniWeb 3, we've added some minimal internal support for news  
again, but beta 5 doesn't support alternate newshosts so it only works  
for basic news urls (with no hostname) and you have have your news  
hostname set appropriately in preferences.

(We just added support for alternate newshosts in beta 6 a few days ago.)
