OmniWeb for Windows

I've put OmniWeb (and OmniPDF and OmniImage) for Yellow Box/Windows
on our ftp server at
ftp://ftp.omnigroup.com/pub/software/Windows-YellowBox (or
http://www.omnigroup.com/ftp/pub/software/Windows-YellowBox). I'll
also be putting OPENSTEP/Windows versions in the
ftp://ftp.omnigroup.com/pub/software/Windows-OPENSTEP directory soon.

Feel free to try it out, and your feedback is welcome, but please
don't expect a lot of support at this time. If you do need help with
something, please post your question to this list, and hopefully
some helpful soul will answer. (That helpful soul might possibly be
me, but the primary reason we set up this list was to let OmniWeb
users help each other, so please do so.)

Installation, in brief: unpack the .tar.gz files (we do this under
C:/Local), put the components in C:/Local/Library/Components or in
OmniWeb.app/Resources or edit the Info-windows.plist file to point at
their location (so OmniWeb can load the imaging components), and add
C:/Local/Library/Executables (or whatever) to your PATH so Windows
can find the frameworks. (Yes, we need to make this simpler.
Actually, we could probably just toss everything in OmniWeb.app, but
then it wouldn't be shared with OmniPDF and OmniImage.)

If anyone has the time to write up some more detailed installation
instructions, I'd appreciate it if you'd mail them to the list.

				Enjoy,
				Ken
