Let me clarify what I am disgusted with because I misstated it
earlier
> I sent her an email expressing my deep disgust at banner ads and

....the "and" really should have been "with"
I do not mind banner ads as much as I mind the flashing javascript
rotating animated GIFs which constantly barrage me at some sites....
There are several pages which I have viewed where I am trying to
read an article and am being constantly distracted with some
advertizement encouraging me to COME VISIT US! BUY OUR PRODUCTS
FLY OUR AIRLINE! which wouldn't be bad except they flash and change
about once every 2 seconds....
Viewing pages with OmniWeb (to keep somewhat ontopic) is nice
because I only see the first ad, rather than being barraged by
them.... and those I don't really mind. I can ignore them if I
want.... the others are almost impossible to ignore (some will not
even stop if you hit Netscape's Stop button and escape). I've even
FOLLOWED some of them ;-)
If there was a way to get financial support for PEAK through banner
ads, I would put the code in tonight.... but I wouldn't use animated
gifs and javanoyances.
