Sorry, but isn't 'not ready for prime time beta version' doubly redundant?

One of the reasons I am here is to beta-test OW... I fully expect that there  
will be bugs, etc etc.  If I didn't want that I'd stick with 2.5.

I'd just rather find out that it was available and 'not ready for prime  
time' rather than finding out on Usenet that it is available....
