Startup problem

The line 


setenv WWW_HOME http://my_host/

in my .cshrc seems to confuse OmniWeb. It "says":

> Access without authorization denied -- retrying

Clicking OK I get what I expected in the first place, i.e. the demand for  
user name and password (I have a local 3.0 server set up that is not meant  
to be accessed apart from a specific user group). I comply.

BUT I get the same message:

> Access without authorization denied -- retrying
 

and after clicking OK there it is

> Authorization failed. Retry?

Clicking OK again (sigh) I get yet another  


> Access without authorization denied -- retrying

and, alas, without further questioning(!) there is my default menue...

Any ideas? 


BTW I am running OmniWeb 0.7.4.

And starting Mosaic on a different (SPARC) machine within the same network  
results in what I had in mind.
