Not getting images or sounds

So you do see in-line images?  What happens when you click on, say,
one of our working papers?  What happens to me is that the paper is 
downloaded to /tmp and a workspace inspector panel pops up.  It takes
another mouse click to uncompress it, and two more to view it.

Images do the same sort of thing.
