Image filtering

OmniWeb isn't going to be very exciting unless you've installed some sort of image
filtering service on your site.
You can get OmniImage and OmniImageFilter from our site
(ftp://ftp.omnigroup.com/pub/next) - they features quick filtering of a number of file types,
and a cool quick viewing app, and adds a workspace inspector that allows you to preview
other image types in the workspace. You need to get both packages to get all this to
work. Unfortunately, we have not been able to get one of the underlying libraries
compiled for Intels, so it's only useful on black hardware.
The latest ImageViewer (from Lennart Lovstrand at next) also does filtering, although I'm
slightly biased against it because it launches the app and adds an extra icon, rather than
working invisibly. Still, it's a good program, it's free, and its GIF support is better than
ours. (Although we're slightly faster for other image types.)
Finally you could buy commercial image filters, but you'd be silly.
