Formatting ("numbering") an entire outline

Hi Tony-

What you want to do is open the Utility drawer and assign these
numbering formats to the corresponding levels. So select 'All level 1
rows' and set the roman numbering type, then select 'All level 2
rows' and set the capital letters type, and so on.

Let me know if you have any trouble setting this up.
