Grouped Outdenting

OmniOutliner does have exactly those command keys for indent and  
outdent, and they work exactly the same as promote and demote in  
More. (I.e. the menu items are named differently, but the command  
keys and behavior matches More exactly.)

However, Mark is describing that behavior as what he _doesn't_ want:

You can get the other possible behavior by using Move Left and Move  
Right instead of Indent and Outdent. If you use Move Left (cmd- 
control-left arrow), the selected item(s) will be outdented and  
subsequent items on the same level keep their same parent, so the  
selected item(s) move below them. These command keys and behavior are  
also identical to the way that More worked.
