Typing is painfully slow in OO Pro 3.6.1 b1 (v143.9)

Bob,
  I can't seem to recreate this.

* What version of the OS are you using?
* Does this happen in new documents as well as existing documents?
* Does this happen immediately after a reboot?
* Are you, by chance, facing North? Macs are very Feng Shui compliant. ;)
