Breaking the Number Sequence

I also would like this feature. In some instances I'm working around 
it creating a "cover document" with the first item and a "main 
document" with the numbered list of following items.

In Nisus Writer Express you can start and end numbered list at will 
in the same document (but obviously Nisus Writer's numbered lists are 
a poor substitute for an outline with numbered items...).
