Breaking the Number Sequence

I have a slightly different use case for breaking the number sequence.

1) Level 1 Item
   1.1) Level 2
	body paragraph
	1) numbered list paragraph
	2) numbered list paragraph
	body paragraph
	1) second numbered list
	2) second numbered list
   1.2) Level 2
2) Level 1 Item

I find myself needing more than one numbered list within a single  
outline level.

BTW, I think there might be a work around for L Pfeffer's original  
use case:

If you use empty level 1 items and make level 2 your level 1, you can  
do something like:


[invisible begin intro]
	Introduction
	   Intro level 2
[invisible begin body]
	1	Body level 1
              1.1 Body level 2
	2	Body level 1

If numbering is turned off on the real level 1, then this works.
