Read Only document, but keeping the ticking activated

Jean-Baptiste,
  Are you saying that you would like to be able to "lock" certain columns to
prevent editing? That way you could leave checkboxes, or pop-up lists (which I
use for status changes), editable yet prevent changes to the text or ordering.
