pasting a text list into multiple rows/items in oop

i'm a new oop user. i searched for an answer to this with no luck.

this seems so basic, so maybe I'm missing something, but I'm trying to 
paste a list of items from another application into my oop outline. I 
want them to show up as a set of items, not the entire list into one 
item.

is there some trick I'm missing here on how to do this?
