You can do it by storing a file:// URL pointing to the relevant .emlx
file found in the bowels of ~/Library/Mail/. This is how MailTags[1]
creates cross links between iCal To-Do items and Mail messages. I
guess you'd find that file through Spotlight.
It is, of course, hacky and probably not at all portable between
machines. Now, if you could have Spotlight searches as attachments
in OO, that would be a whole other level of nifty
