Does it?  I would say that there's a bit of a subjective judgement  
here.  I know that there are some applications that only say the  
document needs to be saved (or claim that it's been changed) if the  
actual content changes.  That is, if the view is changed or  
selections are moved to different places, the document is considered  
unmodified.

I wonder if OO could save things like the current selection and hoist  
into a file when saved, but not require that selection/hoist changes  
necessitate saving the file.

Just some thoughts to spur debate.
