row attributes vs whole document

I don't know how to do what you want (but have wanted a similar
thing). I've wanted to have checkboxes for level 1, but not for
subsequent levels.

And here's another conundrum, but somewhat related to your request.
I want to have "column types" for particular row levels. I use OO to
keep a daily diary. Right now I have column 1 be a date and column 2
be an outline of what I've done that day. Having a real date type
makes it easy to manage, since I can type things like "today" and
have it format out to "Wed, Nov 16, 2005".

But I'd like to be able to collapse entire days (or months!). I
can't do that, since my date is on a column, not a row. And types
seem to be associated with entire columns. I don't see any way to
have a row override the column settings.

The reason I kind of "hijacked" your request is that both requests
fit under the general category of "per-row" overrides to global
settings.
