Some more investigation locally and with Trevor Harmon's help shows 
that the biggest jumpiness problem Trevor was experiencing is related 
to smooth scrolling, and when he turned that off in System Preferences, 
the problem went away. This will help us identify and fix the bug in a 
future release. Meanwhile, others experiencing dramatic jumpiness in 
OmniOutliner might want to try turning off smooth scrolling and see if 
that helps.
