clipping service status?

Celeste,
We have had a few different problems with the clipping service, and we
have communicated directly with a few people who reported the problems.
The problems have necessitated a few different patches, and I believe I
just fixed the final problem. We will probably release a new beta of
3.0.2 next week, which will contain these fixes among others. We're
hopeful that will resolve all the problems people have been seeing with
the clippings service. (You may need to quit running apps after
installing the update before other applications will recognize the
update, although in my testing I just had to wait out some initial
slowness and then everything worked fine.)
As for your question on whether or not Omni reads this mailing list: we
do indeed. However, it's not generally considered an "official" support
mechanism. Priority typically goes to addressing email sent directly to
the OmniOutliner support address - that mail gets read first, and
usually gets a personal response of some type. We don't necessarily
respond to postings on this mailing list if we don't think a response
is necessary because of responses from other list members, or if we
respond directly to the original poster and rely on them to summarize
any appropriate response for the list, or sometimes simply due to the
nature of the original post it's not necessary or appropriate for us to
respond. Upshot: please do discuss issues here, but for actual support
your best bet is to email us directly, preferably by using the "Send
Feedback" item in the "Help" menu as that will identify registered
customers, helping us prioritize our responses.
