How do you manage your tasks without automated reminder?

Peter -
You can't with OO "out of the box" - and that's the ONLY way I'm
going to use it. :-)
I've been asking since before I bought it last summer if OO will be
able to do that. I've had a lot of conversations with James on that,
kicking around ideas on how OO could be enhanced by Omni to do so. I
know there is another user on this list who is also really interested
in that.
Until then, I'm not using OO that much, unfortunately. I am REALLY
into the hierarchy that OO provides; but like you, I have a lot of
topics; and reading through the whole list every day, even if I sort
by Date Due, is just not an option.
I am hanging in there in the hopes that the next version of OO will
have some kind of enhancement that will allow me to see all the tasks
I need to do "today" at the top of my list.
If that doesn't happen, I'll reluctantly be forced to abandon it. I
honestly don't know what I will do for a replacement - I used to use
In Control, the best piece of software I've ever used, but Attain
went under in the 90's; and although In Control worked for years
after that, including the Y2K debacle (hey, it's a Mac!), OS X did it
in. I think OO could become an acceptable substitute if ONLY if can
be made to show me what I need to do "today"!!
Add your voice to mine in pleading with Omni for this option.
Best regards,
Kathi

Greetings,
Managing most of my tasks with OO I have a problem, that I loose
control on my tasks... I am *very* interested in your recommendations
or experiences (may be there is a FAQ somewhere that discusses that
already?) how you keep control of many tasks on different levels?
Each of my rows (tasks) has a field "date" whoch represents the day
when I have to work on that task. Eg in Outlook I get a reminder on
those tasks so the tool (Outlook) helps me to not forget anything.
How can I do that with OO without reading through my big task list
every day? (Sorting is not possible because of the many different
levels and topics).
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks!!
regards, PETER
