I would love Fraser's request also, and still want to add the only
other thing I really want:
THE ABILITY TO FIND ALL THE ITEMS DUE "TODAY" WITHOUT HAVING TO OPEN
UP ALL 20 OF MY FOLDERS, SORT EACH ONE BY DATE, AND SCAN EACH ONE.
There are tons of other pieces of software that can do this, so I
don't see why OO can't.
And why don't I just use the other ones? THEY don't have the great
OUTLINING capabilities of OO. I just despise having to add a "new
record" which will take multiple clicks to add a single line of data
which I can to with 1 click in OO. That's productive.
If OO doesn't add this capability soon, I will be forced to consider
getting one of those others instead, and finding another way to
manage my "hierarchical" needs.
I just have to add: A program called In Control did BOTH extremely
well - it dates back to the late 80's, I think. It's certainly not
that this capability hasn't existed for a long time - it's just the
OO hasn't added it. Without it, OO becomes so much less useful to
me. I'm dropping the ball on projects because I forgot to open one
of my 20 folders "today", sort it by date, and check . . .
