ATPO Articles, OO's Future?

The recent ATPM article has highlighted what appear to be Outliner's
most-requested features.
* the ability to attach or link outside files
* the ability to create internal links between outliner data points.
I can tell you that the first one is being worked on for Outliner 3. I
don't know the status of the second.
Right now Outliner is getting a lot of attention here at Omni and the
feature-list for 3 is pretty long. Visually we're taking Outliner in
the same direction as OmniGraffle by employing the floating palettes to
break up the large set of formatting options that have been added.
Notes will be inline with the option of viewing them in a separate pane
like they are now.
Two-way integration with Graffle is in the works too.
Don't hold me to any of this of course. Outliner is still very much
"under construction" and something may not make it into 3.0.
