Control + Return to Move Text to New Item?

Actually, I do have a quibble. I forgot to mention that when the dragged
text becomes an item and is dropped to a new position in the outline, the
text by default seems to always occupy the first column, not the column it
originated from.

If I drag text from item #12/column #2 and drop it as, say, item # 15, the
text appears in column #1, not column #2.

That effectively renders the drag and drop more inconvenient than cut and
paste.
