It's true that print presentation was not initially the highest priority for 
OmniOutliner, and getting more of the kind of output that we want unfortunately 
required enough changes that it wasn't really addressed for version 2, although 
my recollection is that there were some improvements in that time frame.

Fortunately, printing is one of the main priorities for version 3. Insert 
standard disclaimers here, but we are working hard on improving printing. I 
don't know that we're going to be able to get to everything that you (or we)
  would like, and I'm not ready to go on record as to many specifics of what 
will be there, but I did want to make it clear that this is a priority for 
us.
