Bug?

One thing that keeps driving me crazy is I'm trying to use Styles as...
well, a style sheet of sorts. I was hoping that I could use this to make
all text conform to a specific typeface and point size. What I'm finding
is that a cell contains mixed typefaces, it will not conform to the
typeface & point size used in the Styles. 

If I highlight all the text that is in one typeface, change it manually,
then do the same to the other blocks of text that are different, and make
all the text the same typeface, then I can use the Styles to change them.
Is this a bug? I would hate to think this is normal.
